Chape Auto Body Repairs was established in 2004 by Peet Stander who had 14 years experience in the automotive repair industry. Peet started with himself, a qualified spray painter, a qualified panel beater, a preparation assistant and a tea/cleaning lady. Chape has grown from strength to strength over the years and now has an employee compliment of 15. These employees include two qualified spray painters, two qualified panel beaters and a specialist polisher.

We are also approved by most major insurance institutions such as Santam and Old Mutual Insurance. These brands have strict and stringent processes in place that we are obliged to adhere to in order to remain on their approved panel.

Chape has grown from strength to strength over the past 16 years, so much so that there is literally no more room for expansion on our premises. We had purchased a property in 2018 in the Knysna industrial area where we have started renovations. Once complete, we will have an improved version of our existing premises which will enable us to provide an even better streamlined service.
